The Block Schedule at Huntington Park High School is new this year. What the Block Schedule is, is that instead of having 6th periods a day plus homeroom we have 4 blocks a day, and well now the periods/blocks are about half an hour longer that they used to. In my opinion I think that the block schedule is a good thing because now that the classes are longer I feel like if I'm actually learning something in my classes. Also another thing that I think is good about the block schedule is that we will be earning more credits a year and that way hopefully the graduating rate goes up. I think this new schedule will help a lot of people.
